Soper 12U are Runner-up State Champs

SOPER — The Soper 12U Lady Bears were edged by Atoka’s Extreme Heat last week by a single run (1-0) to claim the State Babe Ruth Softball Championship last week in Soper.

According to Soper coach Matt Garrett, the three-team tournament boiled down to a pitching battle with the team throwing the most strikes favored to win.
