Jimmy Dewayne Mitchell, of Hugo, Okla., was born Dec. 20, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Harry “Pete” and Pecora Scott Mitchell. He passed away Oct. 10, 2021, at the age of 58. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard Mitchell and sisters: Freddie Mitchell and Victoria Cole.

Graveside services for Lewis Lynn McClanahan were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the Fort Towson Cemetery in Fort Towson, Okla., with Pastor Danny Mills officiating. Lewis passed away Oct. 5, 2021, in Fort Towson, at the age of 88.

Memorial services for Dustin Todd Thomas were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Hugo with the Rev. Doug McClure and Dr. Danny Mills officiating. Dustin passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021 in Ft. Smith, Ark., at the age of 47.

Roy Lee Barcheers passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 in Durant, Okla., at the age of 76. Roy was born on March 15, 1945 in Boswell, Okla., to BR and Rosa Lee (Satterfield) Barcheers. After high school graduation, Roy proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years and was Honorably Discharged on Dec. 23, 1966. He married Rita E. Jones on Oct. 11, 1969 at County Line Church and to this union they were blessed with three children. They would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on Oct. 11, 2021. He has been a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and he worked as a welder and iron worker. He loved to preach and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed preaching, hunting, fishing, being a cowboy and country boy and he dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Memorial services for Raylena Jo Ashford were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Boswell, Okla., with Bro. Jarrod Wright officiating. Raylena passed away Oct. 1, 2021, in Ft. Smith, Ark., at the age of 61.

Funeral services for Joyce Green were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 202 at Shoals Baptist Church with Brent Jones officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Okla. Joyce went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 63.
