The Hugo Area of Commerce conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 6 to commemorate the completion of the restroom remodeling at Hugo Middle School. All eight restrooms at HMS were remodeled by Mid Plains Construction. This project is the beginning of the remodeling of our middle school which will be completed as funds are available. We have a beautiful forecast for the week ahead with mostly sunny days and mostly clear nights. High temperatures will warm up to 80 degrees for Thursday and Friday. Much colder weather moves in for the weekend with a chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday. We will finish out the weekend with highs only in the 50s on Sunday and upper- 20s expected Sunday night.

OKLAHOMA CITY – George Burns is officially the State Senator for District 5 after being sworn into office in a scaled-down ceremony held at the State Capitol on Monday. The oath of office was given in the Senate chamber in small groups to accommodate for COVID-19 safety protocols and ongoing Capitol construction projects.
