I recently had the pleasure of attending the McCurtain County Fair, which was a great time. I especially enjoyed watching the livestock show and was proud to once again serve as a sponsor for this incredible event to support our local youth. Events like this are what make our district one of the best in the state, and it was a pleasure to meet and visit with so many of our neighbors.

House to reconvene special session Sept. 28 to 30 OKLAHOMA CITY – The House of Representatives will reconvene the Second Extraordinary Session of the 58th Legislature from Sept. 28 to 30 for consideration of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and other funding advanced by the Joint Committee on Pandemic Relief Funding.

Rattan scores 67 unanswered runs!

RATTAN — The Rattan RAMS have broken loose in the last four games, going on a scoring rampage while their pitching staff has shown no mercy on opposing batters. The RAMS have blistered the bases and home plate as well, plating 67 runs, while allowing ZERO! The last four games have been lopsided shutouts against Haworth, Fort Towson and LeFlore with the last three shutouts coming in District Play.

Sen. Inhofe urges passage of NDAA

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, spoke on the Senate floor today urging Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) to bring to the floor the Fiscal Year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which authorizes funding levels and provides key authorities for the U.S. military and other defense priorities.

As we are in transition with swimsuits mixed with sweaters, hot dogs or soup decision. In between Halloween and Christmas. Both hold their own merit. Halloween with costumes and trickor- treat and candy or Christmas with holly jolly music playing all the time on radios or in the stores and candy canes.
