Community to hold annual Juneteenth celebration Saturday

The 14th annual Juneteenth Celebration, “Free Your Mind and the Rest Will Follow,” will begin at noon on Saturday, June 19. The parade line up will start at noon Saturday at Save-A-Lot parking lot, with the parade beginning at 1 p.m. It will end at Booker T.

HISTORIC COURTHOUSE CRUMBLING. The century-old Choctaw County Courthouse is literally cracking and crumbling its way into history. An interior part of the structure collapsed in the deputies’ office on the first floor last Monday morning. No one was reported injured.
