RATTAN — The Rattan RAMS chalked up two wins at home in the past week, with solid wins over the Roff Tigers (10-6) and over the Calera Bulldogs (6-4). Against Roff, the RAMS saw the ball well and scattered 15 hits and plated 10 runners.

HOLLY CREEK — The Hugo Junior Buffalo track team ran strong last week at the Holly Creek Tournament (March 23). According to Coach Tanner Trent, “Hugo had many athletes who placed in the meet” which was filled with competition from Southeast Oklahoma.

ANTLERS — The Antlers Bearcats put up back-to-back wins over the Hugo Buffaloes at Bearcat Field last week, winning the first encounter by a comfortable 11-1 mark.

BRYAN COUNTY –– The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating an in custody death at the Bryan County Jail. On March 19, 2022, the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the OSBI after an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell.

East and westbound US-70 will be closed at the Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern railroad tracks in Valliant beginning 2 p.m. Friday, March 25 through Sunday night. Through traffic will detour using Valliant Bypass Rd. Message boards will be in place to direct traffic.
