Body Hugo Veterinarian, Dr. Larry Salyer was recently awarded an Honorary State FFA Degree of the Oklahoma FFA Association, during the 96th State FFA Convention. Dr. Salyer was nominated by each of the county Ag teachers and ultimately selected to receive the award.

Body A jury found Jeffrey Lyn Pierce guilty of murder in the second degree in Indian Country last week, after a sixday criminal jury trial. Pierce was arrested on suspicion of murder and was accused of killing his wife, 48-year-old Ronnie Ranea Fitzpatrick-Pierce, according to OSBI.

Body GRANT –– A preliminary hearing was held Tuesday for Rigoberto Aguilar, Jr., 43 of Grant, Okla., who was booked into Choctaw County Jail March 25, 2021 on complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.

Body Victoria Wyatt-Freeman of Moore, Okla., graduated with Honors from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Freeman received her Juris Doctor Degree in a commencement ceremony held on May 15, 2022.
