THE HUGO AREA Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Al Gilberti, a new resident to Hugo who’s joined the chamber as “The Senior that Sings.” Gilberti moved to Hugo from the Dallas area, where he sang in a variety of venues. He’s already booked multiple gigs in his new town, performing at the Red Star during rodeo weekend and booking a gig at El Kanelo.

Summer is just around the corner and the Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) is gearing up for its 2022 Summer Reading Program –– Oceans of Possibilities! The program will run through June 30 at all SEOLS locations.

STILLWATER –– A total of 7,097 students were named to the 2022 spring semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Full-time undergraduate students who completed 12 or more hours with a grade point average of 4.00 made the President’s Honor Roll, and students with a grade point average of 3.50 or higher with no grade below a C made the Dean’s Honor Roll.
