Fort Towson 4-H wins State Forestry

The Fort Towson 4-H Forestry junior and senior teams won top honors in the State Forestry Judging contest held at Robber’s Cave, north of Wilburton. 4-H members had to take a test over general forestry knowledge, identify insects, participate in compass and pacing, identify trees and tell how they are used in Oklahoma, and measure saw logs.

‘CEO breakfast’ brings together community leaders

A week and a half ago, Kiamichi Technology Center hosted its first “CEO Breakfast,” which brought together community leaders to discuss the needs of Hugo. Hugo campus director Jerrod Lundry and workforce and economic development coordinator Lauren Wren led the session.

Jesus, knowing all things, has written Letters to seven different churches, who represent all churches of the world, under different kings and rulers, throughout the seven “Time Periods” of the church age. Communities Unlimited, a nonprofit organization covering seven states in the Southern United States, is partnering with the City of Hugo to bring their services to the community. Each year Communities Unlimited chooses a handful of towns to assist free of charge, and this year Hugo was selected.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Andrew passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022, at his home in Hugo, at the age of 82.
