Hugo News Sports IDABEL — The Hugo Lady Buffaloes went 1-2 at the Idabel Winter Classic over the weekend, finishing the tournament with a 66-23 win over Idabel junior varsity. Hugo started the tournament with a 57-40 loss to Hooks, followed by a 75-33 loss to Douglass.

Hugo News Sports IDABEL — The Buffaloes finished third in the Idabel Winter Classic over the weekend, beating Arkansas High and Tulsa KIPP for a boost of momentum to kick off the next stretch of the season.

They must present the Hugo News a copy of the birth certificate, the exact time of the baby’s birth specified by the attending physician and proof of residency (such as a utility bill or voter’s registration card).

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Yoder, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at Valliant Church of Christ. Barbara Jean (Crockett) Yoder, a cherished wife, godmother and friend, passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on Dec. 16, 1949 in Brownwood, Texas, to Betty Jean (Hawkins) Crockett. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother. Barbara is survived her husband, Paul Yoder; her God-daughters: Darla Christine Groeger, Shelby Mae Hull and Cortney Lee Morris; along with a host of other friends and loved ones.

Donald Edward Wood (known to most of you as Eddie) was born on Aug. 7, 1943 to Donald and Lawan (Beal) Wood. He peacefully passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s on Dec. 12, 2023 in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 80.
