Hugo News Sports Hugo’s game against Valliant last Friday night ended at halftime in an unusual finish. After taking a 12-6 lead early in the second quarter, the Buffaloes were overtaken by the Bulldogs, who scored three unanswered touchdowns before halftime to go into the locker room up, 26-12.

Johnson throws 8-0 shutout for Lady Red Bears

Contributing Writer “Alexa, give me a Soper victory.” The sixth-ranked Soper Lady Red Bears shut out the Lady Jax behind excellent pitching by sophomore Abby Johnson, who only allowed three hits and struck out five. Held scoreless through two innings, Soper’s bats got rolling in the third inning.
ABBY JOHNSON turned in an outstanding game for Soper’s Lady Red Bears in their game against Wright City last week. Johnson allowed only three hits and fanned five batters to lead Soper to an 8-0 shutout.
