Hugo News Sports VALLIANT — The Hugo Buffaloes faced their Hwy. 70-rival Valliant Bulldogs on the road Friday. Valliant had a freshman quarterback and several freshmen who were asked to step up in this game.

Our beloved sister, Harlyn Ruth Redwine Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 18, 2026, age 68 in Dublin, Ohio. She was born Sept. 27, 1957 in Altus, Okla. Our family moved to Hugo, Okla., where Harlyn graduated from high school with the Class of 1975.

Sue Shannon, of Hugo, Okla., passed into eternity on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by the love of her family. Born Opal Alberta Sue to the late Albert Charles Calhoun and Minnie Opal (Taylor) Calhoun on July 13, 1941, in San Angelo, Texas, she was known simply as Sue.
