Cynthia Lynn Skinner, affectionately known as Cindy to her loved ones, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on March 2, 2024 in Hugo, Okla. She was born on Sept. 14, 1956 in Sinton, Texas, the daughter of Calvin and Rosemary (Kenny) Karr. Cindy was a nurturing spirit whose warmth touched all who knew her.

Cindy married the love of her life, Randy W. Skinner, on June 7, 1977 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and the hustle and bustle of a large, close-knit family. She was a devoted spouse to Randy, who remains of the home, cherishing their memories. A caring mother, she is survived by children: Kyle Skinner and Alicia of Harrisonville, Mo., Anne Raney and husband, Derrick of Raymore, Mo., Shane Skinner of N.C., Aaron John Skinner and wife, Retisha of Vian, Okla., Christopher Carpenter of Oklahoma, Rosa Skinner and husband, William of Graham, Texas, Kristie Fairless and husband, Clifton of Hugo, Joseph Skinner of Fort Towson, Sabrina Abney and husband, Tell of Hugo, Brandon Skinner of Rufe, Adam Skinner of Hugo, Megan Griffin and husband, Talon of Messer, Aarron Michael Skinner of Sawyer and Kellie Collins and Kevin of Stratford, Okla.; sister, Karen Patrick of Weatherford, Texas; 25 grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.

A true matriarch, entrepreneur and homemaker, Cindy blended love and creativity to provide for her family. Her ingenuity and resourcefulness were sources of inspiration for those around her. Not one to sit idle, Cindy was a dedicated member of her community and found joy in fellowship and service at Victory Life Church. Cindy’s life will be celebrated at Victory Life Church with services held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 with Randy Mayfield officiating. Friends and loved ones are invited to share in a time of visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.

Her radiant smile and enduring kindness will be deeply missed, yet the legacy of her love will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Cindy’s unwavering strength and gracious spirit will continue to guide her family, just as her memory will remain an everlasting beacon of light in their lives.
