Dwight Lathan, born on Sept. 3, 1954 in Antlers, passed away on May 29, 2026 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 71. He lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and a spirit that was both handy and adventurous, leaving behind memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him. Dwight spent much of his working life serving others through his career as a Route Salesman and truck driver for Pepsi Co. He was dependable, steady, and committed to doing his job well. His work reflected the kind of man he was, one who understood the value of responsibility and took pride in earning his way through honest labor. Those who worked with him knew him as someone who could be counted on, and his presence was appreciated for both his skill and his easygoing nature.

Kaye Mendenhall, at the age of 99, passed away April 13, 2026 during her stay at Bluebonnet Point in Bullard, Texas, after suffering a stroke. Services will be held in Hugo, Okla., at a later date, where she will be buried alongside her husband Ross and with many other of her family including her mother and father and numerous siblings.

Rodney James Ward, of Hugo, Okla., passed away June 5, 2026, at the age of 53. He was born on Feb. 7, 1973 in Coalgate, Okla., the son of Danny Ward and Patricia “Pat” (Tomlinson) Ward. He was preceded in death by his father.

Deborah Lynn Bennett, age 74, of Hugo, Okla., passed away on March 28, 2026. She was born on Sept. 8, 195, in McAlester, Okla., and lived a life marked by faith, kindness and devotion to the people she loved.
