Barbara was born on April 11, 1942, in Hugo, Okla., to Melba Weems (Helton) Hernandez and Raymond Helton, and her life was marked by her infectious laughter, keen intelligence and an indomitable spirit.

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Yoder, of Fort Towson, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 at Valliant Church of Christ. Barbara Jean (Crockett) Yoder, a cherished wife, godmother and friend, passed away on Dec. 17, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on Dec. 16, 1949 in Brownwood, Texas, to Betty Jean (Hawkins) Crockett. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother. Barbara is survived her husband, Paul Yoder; her God-daughters: Darla Christine Groeger, Shelby Mae Hull and Cortney Lee Morris; along with a host of other friends and loved ones.
