Darry Lynn Burrell

Celebration of life services for Darry Lynn Burrell, of Valliant, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Olive Branch Baptist Church in Valliant.

Darry L. Burrell departed this life on Friday, May 17, 2024 in Valliant, Okla., where he was raised. He was 61. Darry was born on Aug. 1, 1962 in Valliant, the second child of James and Thelma Burrell. He was a creative individual with a passion for building and restoring furniture. Early in life, he was also an avid photographer. He graduated from Valliant High School in 1980 and went on to attend Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Okla., and the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. Darry worked in various industries, including wood, paper, tire and bottling, specializing in purchasing. Darry was preceded in death by his father, James Burrell, and his grandparents.

He leaves behind two sons: Martin James Marshall (Lisha) and Savaun Williams Bounds; one granddaughter, Noah Marshall; his mother, Thelma Burrell; brothers: Kenneth Burrell (Karen) and Andre Burrell (Shaun); sister, Charolette Brown (Desmond); and a host of nieces and nephews. Darry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Pastor Burns Burrell, Jr. will officiate the service, under the direction of Rogan Funeral Home.
