Liddie Elizabeth Erskin

Funeral services for Liddie Elizabeth Erskin, of Bokchito, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 7, 2023 at Big Creek Chapel in Bokchito. Liddie passed away Dec. 2, 2023, at the age of 77.

Liddie Elizabeth Erskin was born on Feb. 1, 1946 in Hugo, Okla.,, the daughter of Bee Hider and Velma (Waites) Hider. She was preceded in death by her parents; love of her life and previous husband, Charles Waldrop; husband, Don Erskin; son, James Owens; daughter, Sherry Dawn Waldrop; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; brothers: Floyd Hider and Eddie Hider and sisters: Betty Weaver, LaTrisha Mote and Geneva Fuller.

Liddie lived in the Bokchito community since 1975 and bred and raised Yorkshire Terriors. She enjoyed bird watching, playing card games, Farkle and Wahoo and loved going to the casino.

She also enjoyed watching numerous TV shows, especially Yellowstone, and loved her dog, Sally, very much. But, most of all she loved spending time with her family and being at family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. Liddie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Brackett and husband of Bennington, Okla.; sons: David Owens and wife of Bennington and Edward Waldrop and fiance of Addis, La.; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters: Florence Jeffcoats and Peggy Hider; a special friend and numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell.

Interment will follow the service at Bennington Cemetery with Bro. J.D. Allen officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
