Graveside services for Lonnie Leo Hilburn will be Thursday, March 22, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Messer, Okla., at 10 a.m.

Lonnie died March 14, 2024 in Antlers, Okla., at the age of 69.

Lonnie Leo Hilburn, 69, was born on Jan. 2, 1955, in Mena, Ark., the son of Loyd Ray Hilburn, Sr. and Bernice Maxine (Woods) Hilburn. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Kay (Garner) Hilburn and brother, Loyd Ray Hilburn, Jr.

Lonnie was a resident of Messer for 42 years and was a member of the Messer Fire Department. He graduated from Hugo High School and went on to work construction all over the country, retiring in 2018. Lonnie married thelove of his life, Kay Garner, on April 4, 1975 in Paris, Texas. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, especially ‘down below the house.’ Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, his kids and grandkids were his world. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Lonnie is survived by his sons, Michael Hilburn and wife, Dot of Messer, and David Hilburn and wife, Maci of Messer; sister, Tommie Brannan of Wright City, Okla., along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 6 ~ 8 p.m. at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo, Okla.

Services will be officiated by Mike Mussett under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home of Hugo.
