Burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo. Madeline went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2021 in Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 86.

Madeline was born on June 3, 1934 in Weston, Texas, to R.L. and Annabelle (McManus) Speck. She was raised in Celina, Texas, where she met her husband to be, Roy G. Pebsworth in 1950. They had five beautiful children together: Sharon Lynn, Michael Preston, Karen Denise, Lisa Carmen and R. Steven. They moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1966 for Roy’s job where he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration. Madeline worked for the Alaska Court System as a court reporter. Both Roy and Madeline retired in 1987 and traveled for two years before settling down in a home they built together in Hugo. Both were active members of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Her husband, Roy passed away in 2004. After battering cancer and winning, she moved to Stillwater in 2012 to be closer to her son, Steven. Madeline is preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son, Michael and daughter, Karen, her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Madeline was a devoted wife, a devoted mother and dedicated her life to our Lord and Savior. She was pure at heart and brought joy to every life she touched. She will be truly missed.
