Patsy Joyce Tyree

Patsy Joyce Tyree, of Hugo, Okla., passed away June 17, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on Aug. 4, 1933, in Burkburnett, Texas, the daughter of Kenzy Savage and Esther (Dodson) Savage. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons: Phillip Tyree and Michael Tyree.

Patsy married her husband, David in 1953 in Isleta, Texas. She taught missionary schools in Costa Rica for more than eight years and loved serving the Lord. Patsy was a master jewelry maker and played the piano and organ at 1st Assembly of God in Hugo. She loved her church family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Patsy is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Theresa Root and husband of Washington; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; sister, Bobby Wheeler of Albuquerque, N.M., along with a host of friends and family.
