Ralph Jay Goins

Graveside services for Ralph Jay Goins were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 28, 2020 at Soper Cemetery. Ralph passed away Sept. 25, 2020, at the age of 83.

Ralph J. Goins was born on June 15, 1937 in Soper, Okla., to Frank and Florene (Taylor) Goins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elmer Goins; sisters: Juanita Mullins, Mavis House, Margarette Walker and Lessie Willingham.

Ralph married Diane Pratt on Dec. 4, 1976 in North Shore, Nev. He worked for many years in the shipping and receiving department of the Carnation Can Company. Ralph and Diane moved to Unger in 1986 and built a home that they shared for more than 43 years.

Ralph was a very giving person and was always there to help. He loved cooking for people and making sure they were fed when they visited. He especially loved cooking barbeque and Ralph was always in charge of the church dinners. He enjoyed fishing, but he loved wildlife and would watch the deer from his window.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Pam Goins of North Carolina; sons: Todd Goins of California, Aaron Goins of California, Brian Pratt of Boswell, Okla., and Steven Pratt of Delaware; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Bro. Jan Lee officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
