Riley “JC” Wyrick

Funeral services for Riley “JC” Wyrick, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. June 22, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel.

Riley JC Wyrick passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Glenwood Nursing Home in Glenpool, Okla., at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jimmy R. Wyrick, Harold E. Wyrick and Ervin O. Wyrick and sister, Linda L. Howle.

JC was born on Feb. 18, 1937, in Boswell, Okla., the son of John Riley Wyrick and Daisy Mae (McCleary) Wyrick and attended school in the Boswell area. JC married Remonia Jean (Davis) on Dec. 20, 1958 in Hugo, where they made their home and raised their children. He worked at both glove factories in Hugo until they went out of business, and then began his career as a licensed insurance agent writing health insurance policies until his retirement. JC also served as a Councilman for the City of Hugo for several years. He liked to go hunting, raising game chickens and playing dominoes, but above all things he loved his family. JC is survived by his wife of 64 years, Remonia of the home; sons: David D. Wyrick and wife of Hugo and John W. Wyrick of Hugo; daughters: Tammy J. Helms and husband of Howe, Texas, and Donna Wyrick of Sherman, Texas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters and several nieces and nephews, along with many other family, friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.

Interment will follow the service at Springs Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Bryant officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
