Shirley Ann Simpson

Funeral services for Shirley Ann Simpson will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo, Okla. Following will be internment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Shirley Ann Simpson, age 87, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2020.

Shirley Ann Simpson was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Paris, Texas, to James B. Stroud and Merle Stroud. She married Dave (John) Simpson on Aug. 11, 1951.

Her loving John preceded her in death as well as her parents; sister, Sandra Simpson; brother, Bob Stroud. Shirley enjoyed doing search word puzzles and coloring. She adored and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Shirley is survived by her son, Marcus Simpson and wife, Linda of Hugo; daughter, Marcia Buster and husband, Randy of Greenwood, Ark.; grandchildren: Monica Smith, Rebekah McBride, Brandon Buster, Eric Buster, Jared Simpson, Sarah Simpson and Abigail Simpson; great-grandchildren: Hailey Buster, Brayden Buster, Cameron Smith, Benjamin McBride, Cooper Smith, Karston Simpson, Emily Buster, Alexander Buster, Henry Buster, Sadie Frierson, Elijah Buster, Shane Frierson; niece, Brenda Cumming; nephews: Berry Stroud, and Craig Stroud.
