Graveside services for Kathryn Goodman, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 1, 2023 at Sawyer Cemetery. Kathryn passed away July 29, 2023, at the age of 62.

Kathryn “Kathy” (Johnson) Goodman was born on Oct. 21, 1960, in Humansville, Mo., the daughter of Bobby Joe Johnson and Louise (Hanson) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved husband, Gary.

Kathy was a wild spirit. She hit the floor with both feet full speed every morning up until the day she was called home. She was full of adventure and enthusiasm. Kathy was kind-hearted and would help anyone in need if she could. She loved her kids and grandkids even more; she was their biggest fan. Kathy never missed a football game, a dance, right down to doctor’s appointments, she was always there. She was so proud of her kids and their accomplishments, and always had tons of pictures on hand to prove it. Kathy never met a stranger, she loved to talk with hours of conversation. Kathy never stopped giving, she had this special knack of managing to pull all kinds of tricks out of her pockets to have whatever you needed. Kathy was a big part of her grandkids’ lives; she was a second mother to them. Kathy was momma Nana, and she was steadfast and constant in their lives and was always our home. There was never a time that her phone didn’t ring that she wouldn’t answer. Her biggest joy was going out on the lake in the boat and spending time with her family. Kathy loved being on the water and fishing and was always up for whatever adventure came her way and excited to explore. There are no words capable to express the sorrow that’s left in her family’s heart with her passing and never will be. She was a mother, a Nana and our best friend. We love you mom.

Kathy is survived by her son, Brandon Goodman and wife, Tiffany of Greene, Maine; daughter, Sabrina Goodman of Hugo; grandchildren: Hailey, Erynn, Eve, Kaleb, Riley and Allison; brother, Brian Johnson of Hugo, and sisters: Shirley Johnson and Aldry Johnson of Hugo, along with a host of friends, family and loved ones.

Bro. Johnny Corgill officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
