Drummond acts to defend Illinois River Watershed settlements

Attorney General Gentner Drummond called on a federal court to quickly accept the hard-fought settlements totaling more than $31 million to clean up poultry litter pollution in the Illinois River Watershed. Every day without a ruling, he warned, risks unraveling agreements that took months of goodfaith negotiations to reach.

Hugo High State Academic Team to compete in Tournament of Champions...

The Hugo High School’s 2026 State Academic Team, sponsored by Jay Hodge Dodge of Hugo, will be traveling on April 30 to Rose State College to compete in the Oklahoma Association for Academic Competition, Inc.’s Tournament of Champions. This is the state level academic competition for high school curriculum. Competing are:
Team members include: Coach Brenda Blankenship, Tyson Lemmons, Zachary Roper, Cade Blankenship, Michael Whitbeck, Trevor Frost-Jordan, Derek Frost-Jordan, Len Stuart (Jay Hodge Dodge), Max Lozano, Allie DeSellier, Kaylynn Cook, Edellia Parker, A’yonna Edwards and Coach Aimee Frost. Not pictured: Noah Allred, Kayla Freeman, Carissa McComb, Hayden Rhodes, Zaven Siniga and Ethan Wesley.
