POWDERLY, Texas — Four Oklahoma motorists were killed Friday when a semi-truck failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled into their path, according to the Texas Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at 10:55 a.m.

“Growing wheat is getting harder in a warming world,” was the headline of a story I came across the first week of June. Needless to say, with dismal wheat crops in both Oklahoma and Kansas thanks to the drought, this definitely caught my eye.

HUGO — Two Hugo USPS mail carriers with more than 30 years of service, were honored this week for their exceptional service. For the past 32 years, William “Slick” Eaton and Victor “Vic” Caraway, have worked in adjacent postal sorting stations where they have moved literally tons of mail to local residents.

STILLWATER –– A total of 7,729 students were named to the 2023 spring semester honor rolls at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, including 3,491 students named to the President’s Honor Roll for earning an A grade in all their courses.
