Oklahoma NRCS announces EQIP cut-off for current year funding

Oklahoma’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Acting State Conservationist, Amanda Mathis, has announced the agency is accepting applications for Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP). Oklahomans whose land use includes cropland, rangeland, pasture and private non-industrial forestland are eligible to apply. The deadline for applying in the current batching period is Dec. 9, 2022.

PRAGUE — The Buffaloes’ season came to an end Friday night in Prague in the first round of the State 2A playoffs. Hugo suffered a 34-14 loss to the Red Devils to finish the season at 7-4.

8th Grade Buffs win at Antlers

Hugo’s eighth grade Buffaloes, coached by Tanner Trent, held on Monday to defeat the Durant Lions by three points (39-36) in the Antlers Tournament. The win will pit them against the Broken Bow Savages on Tuesday and a shot at the tournament finals Thursday night.
