Lt. Governor visits Hugo depot, cemetery

The Frisco Depot Museum was honored to have Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell to visit and see the two-story museum that contains Choctaw County history from before statehood to present day. Lt. Governor Pinnell was surprised to see all the artifacts that were on display. Due to the efforts of our Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell and his dignitaries, a donation of $10,000 was given. Also receiving the attention of Lt. Governor Matt Pinnell was the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Another permit application from Tomlin Energy, LLC. has been filed to the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB). The same application as in 2017, the same amount of acre feet of Kiamichi River water, 33,000 af with a new permit number, #2019-007. You may recall Tomlin Energy, LLC attempted to acquire a permit back in 2017 before the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) and they were granted their requested 33,000 acre feet of “overflow” water. However, due to new laws by the State clarifying and strengthening the notification process, Tomlin Energy, LLC was denied that permit in Pushmataha County District Court by District Judge Michael DeBerry.
