After high temperatures hitting 103 early in the week with a heat index of 107, Friday and Saturday will see scattered thunderstorms and high temperatures near 90 degrees. Some of the storms later in the week could become severe and produce very heavy rain and damaging straight-line wind. I expect us to be back to 100 degrees or above from Aug. 2 through Aug. 8.
