Celebrate 200 years at the Fort: Fort Towson Homecoming 2024 will be held Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. On June 8, a community fun day will be held at Sawyer Community Center, with a light meal beginning at 5:30 p.m.

DURANT –– The Choctaw Nation is launching a new website to honor and share information about Choctaw tribal members who are veterans of the United States Armed Forces. The Choctaw Veterans Archive can be found at https://veterans.choctawnation.com/.

The Ombudsman program advocates for residents of nursing homes, board and care homes, and assisted living facilities. Ombudsman programs work to resolve problems individual residents face and effect change at the local, state, and national levels to improve quality of life and care.

A local free-standing emergency department location known as SignatureCare-Paris has joined Paris Regional Health. The emergency department, located at 3055 North East Loop 286, will now be owned and operated by Paris Regional Health.
