FORT TOWSON — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to decline to provide additional details of the Trooper-involved fatality shooting that occurred at Tommy’s Bar on the west side of Fort Towson on Dec 2.

HUGO — After eluding Choctaw County Sheriff Deputy Cody Britt northbound on the Indian Nation Turnpike and driving erratically at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, OHP Trooper Sedrick Frierson apprehended Gary Cook after he and Jamey Devon Alexander were observed at a private residence in the 400 block of West Duke Street in Hugo on Dec. 9, 2023.

PSO customers to see lower bills

Customers of Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) will see a substantial reduction on the fuel portion of bills starting in January. The lower bills are the result of reduced natural gas prices and PSO’s investments in fuel-free generating facilities.

State launches new school safety app
