• Southeast Oklahoma Library System’s Prom Mobile is on the move The Southeastern Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) 2023 Prom Mobile is coming to a location near you! Thanks to our community members’ generous donations, SEOLS was able to give away 301 prom dresses, 204 accessory items, 37 menswear items, 531 books and audiobooks to 731 area teens in 2022! We want to beat that record! The Prom Mobile — a free mobile prom shop produced by the Southeast Oklahoma Library System — travels to each of the 16 locations in the library system and also visits area high schools as well so young men and women will have the opportunity to try on any of the available formal apparel and take one home free of charge regardless of their income. “We had a great turnout last year and we are so thankful for all the donations,” said Julie Horton, SEOLS Outreach Coordinator.

OSBI called after body found in burning trailer

CHOCTAW COUNTY –– Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department requested OSBI assistance last week after a body was found in a burned trailer. According to reports, the trailer caught fire early Thursday morning, just north of Hugo.
