OKLAHOMA CITY — Several members of the Hugo Gymnastics team competed in the AAU Oklahoma State meet in Oklahoma City on May 1. All of the participants were winners in respective events and will advance to regional competition in Springfield, Ill., on June 30-July 3.

Both Oklahoma State Cowgirls and Oklahoma Sooner softball teams have earned trips to the National Women’s Softball World Serires. OSU softball closed out Clemson in the Stillwater Super Regional.

A jury found Jeffrey Lyn Pierce guilty of murder in the second degree in Indian Country last week, after a sixday criminal jury trial. Pierce was arrested on suspicion of murder and was accused of killing his wife, 48-year-old Ronnie Ranea Fitzpatrick-Pierce, according to OSBI.

GRANT –– A preliminary hearing was held Tuesday for Rigoberto Aguilar, Jr., 43 of Grant, Okla., who was booked into Choctaw County Jail March 25, 2021 on complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.
