Boswell woman loses life in Bryan County crash

U.S.-70 traffic detours in Valliant Friday, through weekend

East and westbound US-70 will be closed at the Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern railroad tracks in Valliant beginning 2 p.m. Friday, March 25 through Sunday night. Through traffic will detour using Valliant Bypass Rd. Message boards will be in place to direct traffic. Drivers should expect delays or locate an alternate route.

For a limited time, the American Red Cross has resumed testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Plasma from routine donations that have high levels of COVID-19 antibodies may be used as convalescent plasma to help meet the needs of COVID-19 patients with weakened immune systems.

Veterans in Agriculture have new support

NRCS announces April 8 deadline

Through the Agricultural Conservation Easements Program’s Agricultural Land Easements (ACEP-ALE) component, NRCS provides financial assistance to eligible partners for purchasing Agricultural Land Easements that protect the agricultural use and conservation values of eligible land. In the case of working farms, the program helps farmers and ranchers keep their land in agriculture. The program also protects grazing uses and related conservation values by conserving grassland, including rangeland, pastureland and shrubland. Eligible partners include American Indian tribes, state and local governments and non-governmental organizations that have farmland, rangeland, or grassland protection programs.
