Head out to the wild horse and burro event in Durant

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a wild horse and burro adoption event in Durant, Okla., Oct. 22-23, at the Bryan County Fairgrounds. The two-day event, featuring 120 wild horses and burros, will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22. Adoptions will be held from noon-6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, and from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 23. Animals are eligible for adoption. Inquire with BLM staff onsite for more information.

OCA to host fall gatherings

The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) has planned the 2021 OCA Fall Gatherings. There are 12 locations scattered around the state with the idea that everyone should have a Fall Gathering within a comfortable drive distance. Fall Gatherings begin at 6:30 p.m. with a free beef supper followed by beef cattle industry updates.
