• Tulsa District celebrates National Safe Boating Week In recognition of National Safe Boating Week, May 17-23, The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District is reminding all recreational boaters to prioritize safety as they return to the water this season.
More than 25 producers recently took the opportunity to take part in Noble Research Institute’s Grazing Essentials course in Leedey, Okla. From May 13-15, the producers traveled from all over the state to learn about everything from shifting their mindset to being grazing- focused, setting up grazing assessments, setting up a grazing paddock, weighing the risks of overgrazing, measuring forage growth and availability, and so much more.
HUGO –– Kiamichi Tech honored students who recently completed their career training with a graduation ceremony on May 15 at the Hugo campus. The ceremony included congratulatory remarks from Kelly Grego, Kiamichi Tech Associate Superintendent, a presentation of certificates and a special recognition of Kiamichi Tech Distinguished Graduates.
FORT TOWSON –– The Fort Towson Historic Site received a $3,000 grant from the Carolyn Watson Rural Oklahoma Community Foundation at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to support its annual History Day Camp program, which will take place on May 27-29 this year.
