John Charles Walker II was born on Oct. 29, 1972 in Antlers, Okla., the son of John Charles Walker and Opal Charlene “Tiny” Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents.

John grew up in the Carrollton, Texas, area but he enjoyed going to Antlers, and spending as much time as possible. He married his beloved wife, Tara on Feb. 2, 2002 in Denison, Texas, and they moved together to Oklahoma. John was the Utility Director for the City of Hugo and could not stand to see things broken and not fixed. His passion was roping but he loved fishing and hunting, especially hogs and deer. John loved his family, but his grandbabies held a special spot in his heart.

His passing has left a void in the lives of his family, and he will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his wife, Tara Walker of the home; sons: Bryden Walker and fiance of Hugo and Justin Neubert of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Kayla Stroud and husband of Hugo; two grandchildren; sisters: Judy Maynard, Janet VanPatten and Tracy Talbot, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
