Louis Lee Bolding
Funeral services for Louis Lee Bolding, of Branson, Mo., were held April 17, 2025 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Louis passed away April 12, 2025, at the age of 68.
Louis Lee Bolding was born on Aug. 15, 1956 in Vernon, Texas, the son of Louis Alberta Bolding and Eva (Williams) Bolding. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Harley Bolding; daughters: Hannah Bolding and Hillari Bolding; two grandsons; brothers: Glenn Bolding and Roy Bolding; sisters: Barbara Hamill, Evelyn Converse, Linda Gillis and Ellen Booth.
Louis married his loving wife, Carolyn Jo “C.J.” (Willson) Bolding on Sept. 14, 1996 in Fort Towson, Okla. Louis lived in Iowa for more than 23 years and had moved to Branson, Mo., in 2022. He worked in construction for many years, but his true passion lied in ministry. Louis pastored for many years across several states and loved to share the word of God with everyone around him.
Louis also had a passion for fishing which led to his move to Branson. With his failing health he was not able to go as often as he planned, however, he would often say in his last few years “I just want to have fun.” This inspired a trip that would become one of Louis’ favorite memories of getting to enjoy an all-expense paid, guided fishing tour with his brother-in-law, Jim Lewis. They caught many different types of bass and trout, and it was something Louis truly enjoyed. Louis wanted to leave this world with the remembrance of a legacy of love and forgiveness. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Louis is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jo Bolding; sons: Harrell Bolding, Heath Bolding, Harvey Bolding, Sr., Harlan Bolding and Carmen Bolding; daughters: Halena Ward, Holly Church, Cheyenne Flowers and Bobbie Rose Zigmund; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers: Leonard Awtry and Robert Awtry; sister, Barbara Hamill; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Interment followed the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
