Funeral services for Billie Jean (Williams) Henslee were held May 24, 2021 at Blue Bonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. She passed away May 11, 2021, at the age of 93.

Billie was born June 12, 1927 to Alvin and Edgel (McComic) Williams of Hugo, Okla., where she grew up and attended school. She fondly spoke about her years in Hugo, where she worked as a teenager at the People’s Store and the local movie theater. She always enjoyed Hugo Homecoming, especially the second ward reunions. She met and married the love of her life, Gene Henslee and they raised their daughter, Frances in Fort Worth, Texas. She retired from Southwestern Bell and after her husband’s passing, she became a bus monitor for special needs children. She was a loving, caring matriarch to her family. Always caring for anyone who was ill, as she took special care of her brothers in their bad health.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Frances Gustin Moore; her brothers: A.D. Merida, Dean Williams and Paul Williams; sister, Mary Lee Ince and her sisters-in-law: Barbara Williams and Sue Williams.

She is survived by grandsons: Robbie (Lisa) Gustin of Haltom City, Texas, Troy (Michelle) Gustin of Justin, Texas, and Gerald (Kim) Gustin of Argyle, Texas; sister-in-law, Fredda Stibbens of Watauga, Texas; greatgrandchildren: Britney, Garett, Little Troy, Josey, Christian, Lucas, Liam, Jacob and Blake; great-great-grandson, Carter Ray and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Interment was held at Blue Bonnet Memorial Park in Coffeyville, Texas.
