Body

Carla was born in Hugo, Okla., on Aug. 6, 1965. She attended Hugo Public Schools through her sophomore year when she moved to Oklahoma City and graduated from Douglas High School in 1983.

Carla worked in the retail industry, was married and had two children.

Because Carla looked so mature, she was rarely asked to produce identification. Even when she and her older sister went out on the town, Christi had to show her ID while Carla’s age was never questioned.

She enjoyed her extended family and continually amused everyone with her sense of humor. Carla had a great laugh and loved a good joke.

After suffering a debilitating injury, Carla was admitted to Timbers Skilled Nursing where she resided for the remainder of her life.

Carla went home to the Lord on June 23, 2024, and was preceded in death by her mother, Margie Elswick of Hugo.

She is survived by her children: Michael Blair and wife, Casey of Midwest City, Okla., and Kristen Blair of Oklahoma City; father, Don Killian, Sr. and wife, Sandy of Meridian, Okla.; stepfathers: Chuck Elswick of Hugo, and Larry Boone and wife, Peggy of Hallsville, Texas. Also surviving are her sisters: Christi Killian of Oklahoma City and Christy Renee Simmons of Houston, Texas; brothers: Michael Boone and wife, Liz of Ardmore, Okla., Jamey Boone and wife, Tammie of Paducah, Ky., Don Killian, Jr. and wife, Shana of Meridian, and Larry G. Boone of Hugo. In addition, she has two grandchildren: Ella and Grayson Blair, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Timbers Skilled Nursing for the care they provided Carla and her family.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2024 at Evansville Cemetery.
