Funeral services for Carmen Renee (Pool) Luna, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Dec. 23, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Carmen passed away Dec. 17, 2024, at the age of 62.
Carmen Renée (Pool) Luna was born on April 10, 1962 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Charles Pool and Theresa JoAnn (Branton) Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carmen lived most of her life in the Hugo area and worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist at Choctaw Memorial Hospital and Pushmataha Memorial in Antlers. She also worked side by side with her mom at the Greyhound Bus Station in Mesquite, Texas. Carmen liked to read, sew and paint, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed attending church whenever she was able and if she decided to attend a different church she walked in and worshipped the Lord. Carmen’s passing has left a void in the lives of her family, but they will cherish the memories in the coming years. Carmen is survived by her sons: Jerry Pool and Chase Pool and wife of Antlers; daughter, Elizabeth Allen of Battle Creek, Mich.; five grandchildren, Kacie Allen, Kaylynn Pool, Cadence Pool; a great-grandchild; brother, Jason Pool of Kent, Okla.; sisters: Ramona Agesen of Edgewood, Texas, and Treava Tijerina of Quinlan, Texas, and her best friend for over 30 years, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Interment followed the service at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper with Bro. Ronnie Branton officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
