Charlie Lee Young

Memorial services for Charlie Lee Young, of Hugo, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Aug. 15, 2020 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel. Charlie passed away Aug. 10, 2020, at the age of 74.

Charlie Lee Young was born on Feb. 10, 1946 in Hugo, Okla., the son of J.D. Young and Dorothy (Davidson) Young. His parents preceded him in death.

Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area and worked as a welder. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, riding and raising horses and watching westerns. Charlie was a people person and enjoyed visiting and would help anyone who was in need. But his greatest joy was his family and friends and they will tell you he took great pleasure in aggravating them. Charlie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charlie is survived by his sons: Arlis Young and wife of Soper, Okla., Aaron Young and wife of Hugo, and Ashley Young and wife of Hugo; brother, Virgil Young of Waggoner, Okla.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Services were under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
