Debra “Debbie” Lantroop

Funeral services for Debra “Debbie” Lantroop, of Valliant, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Debra passed away Oct. 31, 2024, at the age of 67.

Debra “Debbie” Gail (Reed) Lantroop was born on Feb. 16, 1957 in Hugo, Okla., the daughter of Louis Francis Reed and Cordia Ruth (Land) Reed. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson.

Debbie was a lifelong resident of the Valliant area and was a graduate of Valliant High School. Debbie later received her Associates Degree and dedicated her life to serving others, working as an LPN for 22 years. She married her loving husband, James Lantroop on Sept. 24, 2003, in Ashdown, Ark.

Debbie enjoyed reading and loved to cook. Baking cakes for special events was something she truly enjoyed. She was known for being a spitfire and loving her family fiercely. Debbie leaves behind her loving memory that will live on forever in all who knew and loved her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, James Lantroop; children: Marty Pruett and spouse, Jason Pruett and spouse, and Brian Lantroop and spouse; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Reed and spouse; sister, Betty Donaldson and spouse; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Rufe Cemetery with Bro. Mike Mings officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
