Donna Lynn Pope

Funeral services for Donna Lynn Pope, of Durant, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2026 at Blue River Fellowship.

Donna Lynn Pope, age 70, walked into heaven healed and whole on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. Donna is preceded in death by her parents: J.E and Mattie; son, Jarrod Johnson, and in-laws.

She was born Oct. 28, 1955 in DeQueen, Ark., to J.E. and Mattie Johnson. She grew up in Broken Bow, Okla., and later married her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Ronnie. They lived in Boswell, where they raised their children, Marty and Leandra. Due to her declining health, they moved to Durant in 2020. She was a proud employee of the Choctaw Nation for more than 20 years. She enjoyed her work family and made everyone around her know how loved and appreciated they were.

Donna is survived by her husband, Ronnie; her son, Marty Pope and wife of Caddo; daughter, Leandra Jestis and husband of Bokchito; three granddaughters; five grandsons, and the latest joy of her life, her great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister, Dottie Gibson of Paris; brother Jimmy Johnson of Azle, Texas; brother, Stanley Pope of Boswell, and Tim and Pope of Philadelphia, Miss., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who felt like family who meant so much to her.

Interment will follow the service at Restland Cemetery with Landon Jestis officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
