Ernest “Boy” Clayton Snow, the son of Robert Lee and Lona (Herndon) Snow, was born on Nov. 23, 1941 in the Herndon community, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Dan Herndon and John Robert Snow; and sister, Della “Gal” Bullard.

Ernest was a devoted, lifelong resident of the Garvin area. He honorably served in the U.S. Army, traveling overseas during his service. On Oct. 4, 1969, he married Marvene Coffey in Idabel, Okla., and together they built a loving home in Garvin. A proud member of American Legion #74, he carried a deep respect for service and community. Gifted with his hands, Ernest could build just about anything and took great pride in planting a garden each year. He and Marvene were faithful members of the Garvin Church of Christ, often seen walking to and from services whenever the weather allowed. Above all, Ernest cherished time spent with his family and leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Marvene Snow of the home; daughter, Lorinda Vinyard and husband of Swink, Okla.; sons: Robert Snow and wife of Garvin and Michael Snow and wife of Garvin; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Pat Snow and wife; and sisters: Loretta Moye and husband, Paula George, and Linda Benton, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
