Geraldine Garrison

Funeral services for Geraldine Garrison, of Idabel, Okla., were held at 10 a.m. March 26, 2022 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Geraldine passed away March 22, 2022, at the age of 74.

Geraldine Garrison was born on May 26, 1947 in Idabel, Okla., to Abraham Charles and Myrtle John Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Louise Parks.

Geraldine was a lifelong resident of the area and loved helping people. She earned her Master’s Degree in nursing and worked as an OBGYN nurse practitioner for health departments in McCurtain, Pushmataha, Choctaw and Latimer counties. Geraldine retired from nursing after 35 years of service to her community. She loved to work in her flower garden, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Geraldine loved the Lord and was always reading her Bible. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Geraldine is survived by son, Sean Garrison and wife of Fort Towson, Okla.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, James John and wife of California and Robert John and wife of Idabel; sister, Bobbie Scott and husband of Idabel, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Fort Towson Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Corgill officiating, unde the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
