Irina Kassandra Gutierrez was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 8, 2003. She received her wings and departed this world on Feb. 26, 2021, at the age of 17. Irina is the daughter of Starkishia Bolding of Flowood, Miss., and Heriberto Gutierrez of Mexico. Though her untimely death was both heartbreaking and tragic, she now sits at the mighty hand of God. Irina was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Lola T. Lewis.

Irina grew up in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas Mexico. Though her childhood was sad, she hoped for better days. Her longtime dream of joyfully reuniting with her mother and coming to America came true on Nov. 13, 2020. Upon her arrival in the United States, Irina did not speak English, however, she was overjoyed and optimistic about her future. Irina resided in Flowood, Miss., where she attend

Irina resided in Flowood, Miss., where she attended Northwest Rankin High School with her beloved brothers. Although there was a language barrier, Irina made good grades. She started her first job at El Sombrero, in Flowood and was planning to obtain her driver’s license. Irina loved playing basketball, fitness, baking, shopping, laughing hysterically, fighting with her brothers and being with family. Following high school, she wanted to attend college to become a cardiologist or veterinarian. She had big plans for her precious life.

Irina was not just beautiful outside she was beautiful inside. Her warmness naturally drew people to her, and her kindness made them instantly love her. Irina was a friend to all and never encountered a stranger. She was trustworthy, humble and kind to all living things. Irina loved people and animals and especially her family. She cherished life and leaves many treasured memories in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

Irina leaves behind a loving family and many cherished memories to her mother, Starkishia Bolding; step-father, Heath Bolding; father, Heriberto; brothers: Eddie Gutierrez, Walter Hinkle and Jeremy Hinkle; step-sisters: Cheyenne Bolding, Clementine Bolding, Anyia Andrews and Chloe Bolding; step-brothers: Caleb Bolding and Lucas Bolding; grandparents: Louis and Carolyn Jo “CJ” Bolding of Hugo, Okla.; aunts: Rachael Crump and husband, George of Fort Worth, Texas, and Raven Rountree; uncle, Michael Rountree; great-aunts: Tammy Gilmore and Alicia Gilmore, along with a host of extended family and friends in the United States and Mexico.

Louis Bolding officiated the service, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
