Johnnye Christine Stewart

Funeral services for Johnnye Christine Stewart, of Hugo, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 at Hugo Chapel Baptist Church in Hugo. Johnnye passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at the age of 87.

Johnnye was born Jan. 5, 1938. Survivors include: three children: Herman Stewart, Jr., Sherri Stewart Smith and Janet Stewart, all of Hugo; one brother, Clydel Terry; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will follow the service at Crosley Cemetery with the Rev. Carzelle Smith (eulogist), the Rev. Roylia Akins (pastor) and the Rev. Larry Alberty (officiator), under the direction of Rogan Funeral Home.
