Ju Nell Watkins

Funeral services for Ju Nell Watkins, of Beaver, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2023 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home. Ju Nell passed away March 19, 2023, at the age of 79.

Ju Nell Watkins was born on July 3, 1943, in Del Rio, Texas, the daughter of Loy E. Holmes and Leta Oletha (Cleaver) Tackett. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Teresa McDonald.

Ju Nell was raised in the Holly Creek area where she met and married her beloved husband, Don E. Watkins on April 5, 1974. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Rattan, Okla., and resided there until they moved to Beaver, Okla., in 2018. She was a hard worker and a great caregiver for her family. Ju Nell loved working with the youth in the church and enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing with her grandkids and dearly loved her family. Ju Nell was a strong Christian woman and above all things she loved the Lord. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ju Nell is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don; son, Jerry Edwards and wife of Beaver; a son-in-law; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Ray Holmes and wife of Haworth, Okla., along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Interment followed the service at Rattan Cemetery with Bro. Doug McClure officiating, under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
