Larry Lee Holder

Family visitation for Larry Holder will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, Okla. Larry passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Durant, Okla., at the age of 80.

Larry Lee Holder was born on Jan. 25, 1943, the son of George Clark and Clara (Geoken) Holder in Hugo, Okla.

Larry graduated from Soper High School. He worked as an Ag Inspector for the state of Oklahoma, supermarket scales check and grading eggs and peanuts. He worked at the Soper Ranch and enjoyed running cows.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Fred Holder. Larry is survived by three children: Porter Holder and George Holder of Soper, Okla., and Kelly Lester of Lane, Okla.; one brother, Wayne Holder of Hugo, Okla.; two sisters: Paula Fails and Sarah “Sally” Holder, both of Soper; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
